Wang Tianyi, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Everbright Environment, Visits the Company's Projects in Ji'nan City

On 17 January, Mr. Wang Tianyi, Chairman of the board of directors and CEO of China Everbright Environment Group Limited ("Everbright Environment" or the "Company"), visited the Company’s projects in Ji’nan City, Shandong Province, to inspect the projects in terms of construction work, project operation and pandemic control, as well as to express his gratitude to the project employees. The projects include Ji’nan East Station Area Underground Waste Water Treatment Project ("Ji’nan East Station Project"), Ji’nan Zhangjin Sub-district Waste Sorting Project ("Zhangjin Project"), Greenergy Intelligent Industrial Park ("Greenergy Park"), Ji’nan Waste-to-energy Project ("Ji’nan WTE Project") Phase I and Expansion, and Ji’nan Leachate Treatment Project ("Ji’nan Leachate Project").

Ji'nan East Station Project is the largest full-underground waste water treatment plant in Ji'nan. With limited number of staff on duty and maximised utilisation of intelligent facilities, the project is committed to becoming a highly intelligent, automated and technology-based plant. In the project area, Mr. Wang Tianyi looked at the project simulation sand table, central control room, underground waste water treatment workshops and above-ground ecological park. He listened to an introduction on the project development, checked several aspects related to the project, such as safe production, technical process, compliant discharge and quality of the discharged water. Meanwhile, he expressed his satisfaction to the project's contribution to the improvement of water quality of the Xiaoqing River in Ji'nan. Mr. Wang Tianyi put forward two requirements for the project’s next step development: Ji’nan East Station Project should continuously improve the project quality and seek innovation-driven development, take the leading positon in the industry, and become a plant that is featured with intelligence, benefits the neighborhood and is open for public visits; the project should also reduce cost, enhance efficiency and boost competitiveness through technological innovation and effect of scale.

Zhangjin Project is the first comprehensive waste sorting project based on the "four classification" model in Ji’nan. During the visit in the community where the project is located, Mr. Wang Tianyi learnt details about the waste sorting progress in the community, checked the adjustable waste sorting bins, and communicated with residents on the user experience. He pointed out that Everbright Environment is actively involved in the waste sorting business. The project should take the initiative to carry out educational guidance, build an incentive and constraint mechanism, and develop a waste sorting habit among the local residents. Meanwhile, Everbright Environment should step up the intelligent and technology proficiency of the waste sorting projects, gradually transform into a scientific and delicate management style, and promote the "five points and one line" technical process and business model for waste sorting.

At the construction site of the Greenergy Park, Mr. Wang Tianyi listened to briefings on the park’s construction progress and relevant business expansion work, and inspected the construction work and safe construction practices. He pointed out that greenergy plays an important strategic role in Everbright Environment’s energy business area, one of the Company's three major areas of focus. Greenergy should dive into the consumer goods market, with emphasis on the Everbright New Sodium Lamps, LED lamps and intelligent light poles, in a bid to become a market pioneer. In order to continuously expand its footprint, greenergy should further improve its marketing strategy, with its market expansion team as the core, synergetic collaboration with other business sectors of Everbright Environment as the pillar, and external agents as the supplement. Greenergy shall further expand the market and strengthen the "Everbright" brand based on three business models including energy management contract ("EMC"), direct selling and engineering, procurement and construction ("EPC").

Mr. Wang Tianyi also visited the central control room for Ji'nan WTE Project and Ji'nan Leachate Project. He expressed gratitude to employees who were on duty at the project. Passing by the operation panel, he asked about the waste incineration operation conditions, especially about the furnace temperature and gas emission indicators of the waste incineration lines. Mr. Wang Tianyi said that both projects shall strictly comply with relevant emission standards, and strike a balance between compliant emissions and economic benefits. The projects shall also intensify efforts to drive technological innovation and enhance level of inforamtisation so as to achieve better operation proficiency.

Representatives from Everbright Environment also joined the visits.
