Wang Tianyi, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Everbright Environment, visits the Company's Suzhou Waste-to-energy Project


On 8 February 2021, Wang Tianyi, Chairman of the Board and CEO of China Everbright Environment Group Limited ("Everbright Environment" or the "Company"), visited the Company's Suzhou Waste-to-energy Project ("Suzhou Project"), expressing his gratitude to the frontline staff and also employees experiencing difficulties, and extending warm New Year wishes to the whole project team.

While visiting the frontline staff and employees with difficulties, Wang Tianyi listened attentively to the employees to understand the living conditions and pandemic prevention practices of the employees who stayed on post during the holiday season. He also visited key functional areas of the project, such as the waste unloading platform, incineration room, slag tank and fly ash treatment workshop. He also listened carefully and asked details about the project operation and difficulties the project is currently facing, given the ongoing pandemic prevention and control. At last, Wang Tianyi further expressed full recognition on the project's achievements in the pandemic prevention and control and stable operation.

Wang Tianyi expressed his gratitude to all the project employees for their hard work in 2020 and extended his blessings into the New Year. He said that Suzhou Project represents the start of Everbright Environment's environmental protection business. The project is regarded as the first waste-to-energy project developed by Everbright Environment, with the largest treatment capacity and most stringent standards for emissions and management. As one of the most featured projects at Everbright Environment, Suzhou Project shall continue to enhance its environment management proficiency; implement pandemic prevention and control measures along with safe production; improve management proficiency; further explore resource recycling; and improve industrial chain layout. It is expected to maintain its leading position in the environmental protection industry and strive to become an innovation and talent cultivation base of Everbright Environment, facilitating the Company's goal of becoming a world-leading ecological and environmental group.

Wang Tianyi noted that given the new challenges and opportunities laying ahead, Everbright Environment shall continue to strengthen its innovative mindset, actively explore resource recycling, further promote synergistic effect, and continuously boost its resource utilisation capability to a new level. The Company shall continue to follow the "utilise, burn, bury" trilogy for waste treatment; carry out the "five points in one line" process model; adhere to an innovation-led development path; and strengthen production efficiency, technological innovation, management proficiency and overall team capability.

The visit was joined by representatives of the environmental energy sector at Everbright Environment, Suzhou Project and Suzhou Solid Waste Treatment Project.
